Greenwood was raised and born in Toronto. She studied dance at schools and also has a solid background of martial arts. She studied voice and musical theatre in Canada. Her acting education began at several schools like""the "Professional Actors' Laboratory", "Jason Fraser Studios", "Etobicoke School of the Arts" in addition to "University Settlement Drama Group".
