Bellamy Young

Young began her acting profession as an actor in the theatre. In 1997, Young made her Broadway debut as Mary in the initial cast of The Life. She appeared Off Broadway for Stephen Sondheim's musical Merrily we Roll Along (1994) and Randy Newman's Faust, (1995-1996). The actress made her debut on television in 1995, playing Dr. Courtney Evans. She was a part of Law & Order as a guest actor in two roles in 1997 as well as in 1998. The actress made her debut on 1999 when she appeared in Black and White, a crime drama. She later appeared on several independent films. She began guest-starring in television comedies and dramas in the early 2000s. They include The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Between 2000 and in 2011, Young had more than 30 guest appearances on TV shows. Young was one of the regular actors in Peacemakers, a USA Network television series that began airing in 2003. After nine episodes, the show ended after a single season. The actress played the role of the role of Deputy Dist. on the Lifetime television drama For the People. Atty. Agnes Hunt in 2002, in the NBC the period drama American Dreams as Diane Shaw in 2003. She also appeared on NBC's Scrubs as the character Dr. Grace Miller in 2004 in the role of assistant State Attorney Monica West on CBS's CSI: Miami (2005-06), as well as on the ABC the primetime soap show Dirty Sexy Money (2008-2009) in the role of Ellen Darling, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Darling family.
